The MVHS Drama Department held its opening night of “Alice in Wonderland” on Oct. 28. The production follows a similar storyline to the classic “Alice in Wonderland” tale, but differs in terms of some dialogue, settings and characters — a stark difference being that MV’s production features 10 different Alices.

Unlike past productions, “Alice in Wonderland” is also unique in that the audience moves around campus to the different settings in the play, including the rabbit hole (the ramp beside the auditorium) and the Hall of Doors (in front of the Blackbox).

Collectively, the set, marketing, props, lighting and costume teams and show director, Hannah Gould, spent long hours preparing for the play in various different ways. Read the story below to learn about the behind the scenes preparations for “Alice in Wonderland.”
